Gionee unveiled world’s slimmest Smartphone Elife S5.5 with quad-core processor and 13-megapixel camera
Gionee, a Chinese Smartphone maker has introduced Gionee Elife S5.5, world’s slimmest Smartphone at 5.5mm thickness. The device has been listed on the company China page for pre-order at $370 (roughly Rs. 23,000).
The Smartphone specifications include a 5-inch display with HD (720) resolution with, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front camera and 2300mAh battery that runs for a whole day in a single charge.
Gionee Elife S5.5 will run on “Amigo” UI at the top of Android Jelly Bean out of the box.
Other highlights of the Gionee Elife S5.5 include 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB.
The company is taking pre-order of its 3G variant in China, and will arrive in 40 more countries globally. However, tech news portal Engadget reports that the LTE version of the Life S5.5 will arrive in June.
Earlier this week the company has launched two new samrtphone Gionee M2 and the Gionee Gpad G4 in India priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 18,999 respectively. Both the dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphones run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and are available to purchase.
